I think JYP is a really good mentor.. He gives constructive criticism and also advice to correct mistakes. He also answers everyone's question without saying anything degrading

He is the opposite of Simon Cowell. First of all, he actually understands the craft and did it himself. He can actually show the girls where they are weak, and coach them instead of saying they were "indulgent". WTF does that even mean? Simon has never sung professionally, and probably not as an amateur, a minute of his life. JYP is also positive and encouraging.

People can say what they want but JYP gives the most constructive critiques and actually teaches the girls how to improve. Not everyone can bring out the best in people in the same way.

@@kittyplays417 I'm not on the last ep yet but what I think he did is that being harder on the fully talented members will pushed their potential higher while being soft but still critiquing the weaker member it allows for them to not bring down their self esteem cuz sometimes being harder on the better members is better as those members know that their potential can exceed the limits but I do agree that he could have been nicer to them

While vocals are suspect, she doesn't need to be a strong vocalist to make the group. Her singing will improve as she trains, and she will reach an acceptable level soon. This group needs her dancing skills. She is this group's Mako.

Yea at the end when they’re all lined up, I think she really stands out! I work in the fashion industry in East Asia and her type of visual are quite popular over here, also I think KG and Kendall will be popular in terms of visuals. Mischa’s dance and singing skills are not bad too, she definitely has potential. Hopefully she makes it!

24:10 27:58 agree girl. the kpop styling suited her. She stood out when camera panned to her. I didn't expect it. I was expecting Lexi or Kendall would change with the kpop styling and I would be blown but it was flat for me. Indeed JYP was right when he said Mischa definitely has star quality because she's the type to steal hearts using visuals.

Cristina said she doesn’t think of herself as a singer and then absolutely SLAYED the performance. Same with KG she danced SO well and gave amazing facial expressions. Camila’s team exuded the most charisma imo. I enjoyed their performance the most. Ntm camila’s beautiful voice and true leader material.

Kaylee's vocal impressed me so much in this video! She's so cute. I do fear that her emotional heart might suffer a lot being a k-pop star. But what impresses me the most about her is her ability to rebound! You can tell she thrives from failures/mistakes. Gina and Lexus are a powerful duo! With Savanna, those three give me chills!

In the rehearsals JYP did what he promised! He gave them advice and tried to keep up their mood and confidence! He focused on the good elements of their performance and gave them advices on what they could improve in a small amount of time.

The focus on encouragement and constructive criticism throughout this whole series has been *excellent* tbh. I hope more shows about forming groups can follow this example and build up trainees rather than trying to break them down, because not only is it a kinder way to build a group, I also personally believe it will have better results in the end.

@@AznAfroMan513i think jyp did kind of things like that for every trainee in company (who prepare for debut or in survival show). He not only critics but give advice too. I remember when they doing "Sixteen", he doing the same thing like this episode, he give advice from himself or let the artist senior from the company to give advice too. One thing that make it clear, jyp can be hard for the artist to reach the level what he want. But he managed not to pull them down. He can be soft, can be funny too

But still, I believe after they enter the training system everything will be more balanced, like sometimes the trainees need to have people who can say it like it is, some tough love, because it's all needed to develop a stronger character and train them to be mentally ready to face the real entertainment world, which, like we all know, can be a cruel world to live in...

We can each decide for ourselves whether we're okay with the state of an industry like that. Personally, I think the idea of "tough love" is a justification for unnecessary cruelty that doesn't truly make people better.

Camilla, Cristine and KG already look already like a solid girl group, and Camilla looks even more like a leader. I love how each of them is good in different areas but they are trying to help each other. Kinda sad how the public suddenly stopped supporting Cristina even tho she keep showing improvement and strong personality. idols are not trainees, so the standards for them are higher than these girls who are at or even below the level of trainees at this stage of their potential careers. at this point they need guidance and proper training instead of just criticism. their future potential is worth more than their current skillset and a good producer will encourage their growth.

I really liked how JYP supported all the girls in this episode. Since they’ve already worked hard, their muscles memory helping them for their movements. I noticed that some of the members can already sing and dance pretty well, but I think the important thing is what JYP has been trying to remind them throughout all the episodes, which is to immerse themselves in the music, listen to the music, and feel the rhythm and the emotion! If they can do that, I really believe they can make it. Because when you think of an actor, the more that actor can bring that emotion and that feeling to the audience, more they can make the viewer immerse into that feeling and make them emphasize and understand the story much stronger! Of course what these girls are trying to do is very different from acting, but I think the important thing is to be able to look from a perspective like this; imagine you're in your room with your friends singing a song and dancing. In that situation, would you try to be perfect? Would you try to do a move and say that “my arm shouldn’t be like this!” No, you wouldn’t. Because when you actually have fun, your face is naturally shaped according to the song, and your body adapts to the rhythm by listening to the song. And the next thing you know, you're really immersed in the music and that exciting feeling of having a performance! Of course, they need to think professionally and pay attention to their movements, but if they trust themselves and let themselves go, I really think they can achieve this!

Because they're already on episode 13 and in 14 the ones who go to Korea will be revealed. 14 is an odd number to end though and another season could be filled but still seems a lot, so wouldn't it also be possible that there's just 20 episodes in one season, spanning the whole process? I can't find any information though. Maybe they will take until episode 15 and then end the season.

I realized that Kaylee is so much unprepared in this show. She's good at the audition because she's a natural and a fast learner. That's why she's easily to break down. Like imagine when they're starting to do the group practice she's at the point zero while everyone else is already way a head of her. It must be so hard being the youngest and the newbie in singing and dancing to keep up with the others. She doesn't have a discipline, she only know how to learn by her own, the amateur way. That makes me respect her to see her challenge herself to be in this show. Someone like her can be scary, she can be the dark horse at the beginning of the practice but she can be so good during the performance and maybe even steal the attention. I see something like this also happens at other groups and survivals.

I know that it’s probably an unpopular opinion but I feel like Cristina NEEDS to debut.. she’s so kind and friendly and I feel like she needs more credit for her work, she is an amazing dancer and I also feel like she can be a mood maker of the team and she gets along with the other contestants really well to. Contestants are lucky cuz JYPark directly stopped by their rehearsal for team mission. This didn't happen in the domestic boot camp audition of Nizi Project where NiziU made a debut in the end(He made a surprise appearance to give advice before final group mission in Korea training phase) Though it would be challenging to learn everything and perform well in just 2 days, they seem really well prepared thanks to their teamwork and talents they have got. Can't wait to see their team performances!

You're lucky for having J Y Park. He's not the usual bossy, intimidating, toxic coach/judge despite he's also the man behind JYP. He's like a father to you that really sees your strengths and weaknesses with no favoritism. He's very game and patient, sentimental. I think he is a pure soul. Treasure him. I admire his attention to details. He notices even the slightest area to improve. I love watching this show. Goodluck to you girls. You are all talented and special. As much as I want all the girls to be able to debut, I feel like there’s a big difference between being a dancer, being a singer, and being a kpop idol. As a kpop idol you must shine in both dancing AND singing AND be able to entertain, whether that be through talking or through performance. It’s quite different to any other performance job, and I think some of the contestants are better suited to perhaps singing as a Western artist or becoming a dancer than being a kpop idol.

Most realistic and logical comment here. I'd argue Yuna shouldn't be able to debut just based on skill alone, but she has that "star quality" factor and personality that JYP and the audience wouldn't want to let go (including me).
